BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• Assists and performs nursing functions within the scope of a licensed practical nurse and in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required.
• Minimum work experience:
  • ”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹1 year of pediatric experience preferred.
• ”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹Required Licenses/Certification for position:
  • ”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹Licensed Practical Nurse in State of Tennessee or other compact state.
  • BLS required
• Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • ”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹”‹Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication skills.

    Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling is required up to 50lbs occasionally, 20-30lbs frequently and 10lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150lbs. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 150lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching, and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
